My bus journey home which usually takes less than twenty minutes lasted for over an hour today. To begin with, the bus was nearly ten minutes late arriving at the bus stop; then we were delayed by a farmer walking his cows through a village and later by a convoy of agricultural vehicles...and finally, to top it all; hardly moved for half an hour because a white van was abandoned in the middle of the road with one of its wheels missing.
