I've not been able to post for the last two days because the library's been closed due to a strike. I can't say that I'm that sympathetic to the cause of the workers though; I don't believe in strikes...or even unions - as an employee you have a contract with your employer; so what's it got to do with anyone else?

I'm more supportive when it comes to low paid local authority workers doing the dirty, cold, unpleasant and dangerous jobs; the binmen, cleaners, and care workers: I think these people should all be earning a lot more money.
