...the word to describe the colour of a car I've seen this morning. It was a translucent silver, grey, pink, purple, salmon, orange colour.

That is called chameleon paint as it changes colour which ever way you move to look at the car, costs a fortune to get is sprayed that colour, lovely effect though!
