Free admission again; thanks to English Heritage's Open Weekend.
Very disappointing; the inside of the keep was very dark and there wasn't that much to see anyhow.
It was a pleasant day though and there were extensive views to enjoy from the roof of the keep.

Pro Yes Lissa; I totally agree with your assessment of Conisbrough Castle - it's very poor.

May I say that I told you so? Honestly, I think the interior of Conisborough Castle is easily the worst historical reconstruction I have ever seen. Maybe there is some sort of curse of the place when you consider the fate of the Earth Centre near by.
