I've just been to the shops and am starting the process of stocking up on supplies for Saturday's charity walk.
Items I've bought today:
New batteries for my torch.
A new belt.
3 litres of Lucozade Orange energy drink
4 Twix bars.

Did a nineteen mile walk based at Kettlewell in Upper Wharfedale yesterday - that's 91 miles in six miles so far this summer.

We had originally intended to go hiking again today, but the weather forecast was so terrible that we have postponed it until tomorrow; when I bet the weather will not be as good as predicted.

Wow...this is a great upgrade; thankyou Bill Gates. Yesterday I posted a link in my blog to a friend's webpage who I haven't seen for four years...and this morning I bumped into him in town. Teleportation files; what's next?

Here's a link to a friend's webpage. He's a songwriter and he mentions me as one of the major influences on his work.

I woke up this morning with a stiff and painful neck, shoulders, back and arms...and even my wrists, hands and fingers; just because I must have thrown off the quilt in the night and exposed the top half of my body to a draught. Every time I move a joint it clicks, crunches and hurts - if things don't improve I'll have spend most of this afternoon in a hot bath.

Seventeen miles; Pateley Bridge and Upper Nidderdale - somewhere I've never been before.
The walk went well, apart from a genuinely scary moment when we were charged by several dozen cows. The magnesium oxide tablets worked well; no leg cramps or muscle spasms.

I've just received a positive diagnosis for Asperger's syndrome. I feel really positive about this because it should open up employment, social and financial opportunities for me. The doctor is also going to suggest that I have a scotopic eye test for problems with my visual perception and be tested for dyspraxia.

I went to the newsagent's early this morning as I do every Sunday to buy the Sunday Times; there wasn't any magazine inserts though...in any of the newspapers, so I went to the next newsagent's...but it wasn't open yet.
I enjoyed the walk through the park in the early morning sunshine though.

Doncaster C.V.S. [Council for Voluntary Service] keeps its computer servers near to the front door; you can feel the heat as you enter the building. Today when I visited for my regular counselling session, as I was leaving I noticed that the metal door handle was quite hot too...surely there are Health & Safety issues here.

Someone's just been to the desk and paid over £6 in fines for overdue books; yet you could commit quite a serious crime and the court wouldn't even fine you at all.
