It's now been more than a week since I caught this flu, which is by far the worst I've ever had. Since its onset I've experienced severe sneezing, stinging eyes, runny nose, simultaneous sweating and shivering, headache, earache, a sore throat, fainting, difficulty with breathing, uncontrollable coughing, coughing up blood...and now I can barely speak louder than a whisper. The media seems to be obsessed with the norovirus that's going round...but what about this nasty strain of flu which seems to have taken hold in Doncaster? Several other people I know seem to have caught it too.
